Glass bottles preserve the organoleptic characteristics of wine, and that is why winemakers choose it for their wines. An old Italian saying states that the best wine is kept in small barrels. In reality, the bigger the size the better the wine, because large quantities of wine hinder oxidation and thus high-quality is preserved over the years.

At I Balzini, in addition to 0,75ml bottles, we age our wine in special formats: Magnum (1.5 liters), Balthazar (12 liters), and Nabuchodonosor (15 liters).

We are specialized in aged wines, and we truly treasure them, offering our clients the opportunity to buy “en primeur.”
